Questions authors ask first
Who owns the book and the royalties?
You do, at every stage. Copyright stays in your name, the ISBN is registered to you, and retailer accounts are set up under your details so payments go straight to you. We invoice for the work and never take a share of your sales.
Are you connected to Amazon?
No. Mediastryde is an independent publishing services company. We prepare your files and publish them through your own Amazon KDP account, so your book sells on Amazon and other retailers — but Amazon does not own, endorse or partner with us.
What if my manuscript is only half finished?
That is normal. Send whatever exists. We will tell you honestly whether it needs ghostwriting, developmental editing or simply a proofread, and quote only for the work it actually needs.
How long does publishing take?
A finished manuscript can be on sale in six to ten weeks. A book written from scratch usually runs four to eight months depending on length and how quickly drafts come back approved.
Can I take my files elsewhere later?
Yes. Every deliverable is handed over — manuscript, cover artwork, interior files and source documents. Nothing is held back and nothing is locked to us.
